Nina Lizell, born Nina Lizell on 1 September 1944 in Stockholm, Sweden, is a Swedish pop singer who began her career after completing studies in several languages in London, Paris and Geneva, initially aspiring to become a stewardess. Her breakthrough came in 1967 when she was discovered at a German talent contest and released her first single "Du gehst vorbei" in 1967, followed by a series of hits in both Sweden and East Germany, including "Rauchen im Wald" in 1969 and "Der Mann mit dem Panamahut" in 1973.
