Ivana Gavrić's playing and storytelling programming has been described as ‘electrifying’ (BBC Music Magazine) and ‘ravishing’ (Washington Post).
Recent concerti include Grieg and Rachmaninov with the Philharmonia Orchestra at the Royal Festival Hall and Beethoven’s Emperor with the RPO at the Royal Albert Hall. She has performed with the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic, South Denmark Philharmonic, Southbank Sinfonia, with conductors including Rafael Payare, Nicholas Collon, Christian Kluxen, Karin Hendrickson and Ben Gernon. Highlight collaborations include Trondheim Soloists, Aurora Orchestra, Camerata Zürich and City of London Sinfonia.
As a recitalist, Ivana has performed at the Wigmore Hall, KKL Lucerne, Gilmore Piano Festival in USA, across China, in Canada and recently in Peru. Outside the concert hall, Ivana plays the role of a pianist performing Chopin and Beethoven in BBC2’s adaptation of 'The Line of Beauty', and Bach in Minghella’s film 'Breaking and Entering'.Creating a sensation with her debut album 'In the Mists', Ivana won BBC Music Magazine Newcomer of the Year, her playing hailed as ‘altogether of an extraordinary calibre’. Her recording of Grieg: Piano Works won Grieg Society’s Recording of the Year and Gramophone Editor’s Choice, while her Chopin disc was chosen as Classic FM’s CD of the week.
