Franz vu Letzebuerg aka FRZVL grew up with many influences going from 80’s club culture to the New Jersey Deep House and US Garage. His roots are based in the golden area of dance music. From Larry Levan, Tee Scott, Shep Pettibone to Frankie Knuckles or David Morales, his taste always reminds the soulful side of Dance Music.
in 2011, on his own imprint Big Box Recordings, FRZVL released «Brand New Heights» featuring guest vocalist Mandel Turner. This track features on the Japanese compilation « Melodieux » alongside tracks by other famous artists like Dimitri from Paris or Dj Kawasaki. Brand New Heights will also enjoy a great success in South Africa thanks to the original version and great deep remixes by Rocco.
Will follow a number of quality releases on Big Box Recordings like «Love Take All of Me» with Brian Christopher «Chameleon» with Californian singer Baskerville Jones or «Find A Way» with Erik Rico. All releases were widely acclaimed, supported by many DJ’s around the globe and remixed by finest remixers such as Aliwud, Terry Hunter or Dj Spinna… This will solidly establish FRZVL as a producer who always want to bridge the world of House Music with Soul & Funk.
In 2016 he released “Don’t stop the music” under the moniker Kultissime with Kiko Navarro and the gospel singer Linda Lee Hopkins, the track reaches the #2 place of the TRAXSOURCE Afro House Chart and is play in many Clubs worlwide by famous Dj’s like Oscar G from Murk DJ Fudge but also Atjazz or Paul Trouble Anderson.
In 2021 he starts the release of a 4 tracks EP with different single in collaboration with Erik Rico, their first effort “People Get Up” under the name FRZVL feat. Erik Rico received great feedbacks by many Dj’s and tastemakers around the globe. It is again selected by TRAXSOURCE to feature in their Weekend weapons, Soulful essentials and Hype Chart. The tracks is also broadcast on FM4, Austrian national Radio network and supported by many Dj’s including the Japanese from Dazzle drums or Daft Punk Remixer the french Domenico Torti…
Now with “Worth Fighting For” the 2nd part of the 4 tracks EP in collaboration with Erik Rico, they delivers a great performance in between the early Chicago house sound and the 80’s funk band like Cameo.
