According to one legend, I was born in February 1967, in Boyalı Village of Sarıkamış, Kars, on a day when snow had taken over the roads and houses, the yellow ox fell down the chimney, and wolves tore apart a dog named Topuz. I somehow learned to play the mandolin and the bağlama at an early age, without even understanding how. I grew up surrounded by folk dances, folk music, and theater. I graduated from the theater department. I have taken part in numerous music and theater events both in Turkey and abroad. I am a kind of "cicada" who lives savoring the richness of folklore, which we call folk science. And life, for me, is a festival.
