Gunnar Bergsten, born March 26, 1945, in Lidköping, Sweden, was a Swedish saxophonist known for his contributions to jazz. He began his career in the 1960s after studying at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm and played with bands led by Rolf Ericson and Bernt Rosengren. In the early 1970s, Bergsten performed with various groups including Fläsket Brinner and Sevda. He released his album The Good Life in 1995 with Peter Nordahl on piano, Patrik Boman on bass, and Rune Carlsson on drums, earning a Grammis award that year. Bergsten was awarded the Lars-Gullin Prize in 1999. Gunnar Bergsten passed away on February 6, 2011, in Stockholm.
