Bronz were an English hard rock band formed in Bath in the mid-1970s. The group, led by Chris Goulstone, initially performed around the UK and at notable festivals such as Stonehenge and Glastonbury in 1978. In the early 1980s, Bronz signed with Bronze Records and released their debut album Taken By Storm (1984), produced by Ritchie Cordell, Glen Kolotkin, Gerry Bron, and Mark Dearnley. The band's lineup at the time included Max Bacon on lead vocals, Goulstone on guitar, keyboards, and backing vocals, Shaun Kirkpatrick on guitar, Paul Webb on bass, and Carl Matthews on drums. They supported Ratt on a major US tour in 1984 before disbanding shortly after. In 2003, Bronz released Bronz Live – Getting Higher, featuring live tracks from their 1984 US tour and new material. The band briefly reunited for performances in 2005. Shaun Kirkpatrick died in July 2013 while working on new material.
