Akordo, a Dutch vocal music group formed in 1988, consisted of seven singers who performed a cappella in Esperanto and were notably known for singing "La Espero", considered the anthem of Esperanto. Their repertoire spanned various styles and included adaptations of popular European music. Akordo released their debut album Muzikpluvo in 1996, featuring 25 tracks. In 2003, they followed up with Kristnaska Kordo, which contained 25 religious themes, many of them translations of European folk songs. Akordo ceased live performances in 2008 but continued to release music. In April 2018, their first album was reissued with two additional tracks by Vinilkosmo.
