Victims Family, an American hardcore punk band from Santa Rosa, California, was formed in 1984 by bassist Larry Boothroyd and guitarist/vocalist Ralph Spight. Their debut performance occurred at the Kennilworth Recreation Center in Petaluma, California. In 1986, Victims Family released their first album, Voltage & Violets, through Mordam Records. The band's diverse sound, blending punk, heavy metal, and jazz, made them a standout in the San Francisco underground music scene. Notable collaborations included opening for bands like Dead Kennedys and Descendents. In 1988, they released Things I Hate to Admit, followed by White Bread Blues in 1990, which featured the song "Caged Bird" that reached number 6 on Dutch national radio charts. The band continued with releases like The Germ (1992), Headache Remedy (1994), and Four Great Thrash Songs (1995) before disbanding temporarily. In 2001, Spight and Boothroyd reformed Victims Family to record Apocalicious.
