Guillermo Briseño was born in 1945 in Ciudad de México. He began playing piano at age three and started his music career in 1961 as part of the rock group Los Masters. Briseño studied Chemical Engineering at UNAM while performing with various bands. In 1970, he joined Cosa Nostra, with whom he toured Central America and the United States. His solo career began in 1975, and he frequently performed in university halls and cultural centers. In 1980, he released his first LP as part of Briseño, Carrasco y Flores, titled Briseño, and later formed Briseño y el Séptimo Aire. Notable works include "Túnel 29" from the album Está valiendo... el corazón (1987), which addressed a tragic football incident.
