The Besties were an American indie pop band from Brooklyn, New York. They formed when Marisa Bergquist, Kelly Waldrop, and Rikky Walsh met while attending college in Tallahassee, Florida, and were active beginning in 2005. Their debut album, Singer, was released on Skipping Stones Records in 2006. Their second album, Home Free, was released in February 2009 by the Hugpatch label. The band's final release was a 7" single, "Terrible & True" b/w "Take 'Em All", on Art of the Underground Records. The Besties announced their breakup in October 2009 and played their final shows in December 2009 at Asbury Lanes and Bruar Falls. Following the split, members pursued projects like Chandeli'ers, Headlines, and Glyph City. The Besties reunited for one-off shows in 2014 and 2017.
