Jodi Christine Phillis, born on April 11, 1965 in Melbourne, Australia, is a singer-songwriter-guitarist. Her musical career spans the pop, indie rock, and adult contemporary genres. After forming The Clouds in 1989 with Trish Young, the band released four studio albums between 1990 and 1996, all peaking within the ARIA top 50. Phillis's solo career began in 1996 with Lounge O Sound. In 2001, she released In Dreams I Live, featuring "Waiting, Wanting, Holding" from ABC’s series Love Is a Four-Letter Word, and was nominated for two ARIA Music Awards. Her subsequent albums include For Lovers, Artists and Dreamers (2003), Becoming (2018), and We Need to Be Free (2022). Phillis also ventured into screen composition, graduating from the Australian Film Television and Radio School in 2013.
