The Out Circuit, an indie rock/post-hardcore group from Washington, D.C., was formed in 2000 by Nathan Burke following the breakup of his previous band Frodus. The group initially released Burn Your Scripts Boys in 2003 and embarked on several tours before relocating to Seattle, WA. In 2008, they released their second album, Pierce the Empire With a Sound, which was mixed by Teppei Teranishi of Thrice and featured guest vocals from Sean Ingram of Coalesce and Dustin Kensrue of Thrice. The Out Circuit also contributed to various compilation albums, including tracks like "Emmanuel" on All I Want For Christmas (2004) and "This Will Be Our Year" on Happy Together (2006).
