Terri Ann Hendrix is an American singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from San Antonio, Texas. She studied opera and classical music at Hardin-Simmons University before transferring to Southwest Texas State. She started performing at local venues, eventually releasing her debut album Two Dollar Shoes (1996) on her own label Tycoon Cowgirl Records. Her second album Wilory Farm (1998), produced by Lloyd Maines, marked the beginning of a long musical partnership. Her subsequent releases, including Places in Between (2000) and The Ring (2002), expanded her fanbase beyond Texas. She co-wrote the Grammy-winning instrumental "Lil' Jack Slade" with the Dixie Chicks. She released over 20 albums and EPs on her Wilory Records label, including The Art of Removing Wallpaper (2004) and Cry Till You Laugh (2010), conducted songwriting workshops, and established the OYOU nonprofit to offer educational and therapeutic arts programs.
