Felix Schager, known professionally as Def Ill, is an Austrian rapper, music producer, and co-founder of the band Fireclath Soundsystem, also performing under the name "Governor General (Ruffian) Rugged." He began rapping in 1996 at the age of seven and gained early recognition through guest appearances such as "Verstanden" by Texta in 2001. In 2006, he self-released his debut album Der Rote Faden, produced with his longtime collaborator Loco, and the song "Higher" received airplay on FM4. He continued releasing projects including Reefa Mawdness (2012). Def Ill has also collaborated with artists such as Biga*Ranx and Kinetical and is a member of several groups including Ill Mindz and Boombokkz Recordz.
