Miqui Puig, born on June 27, 1968, in La Ametlla, Spain, is a singer and musician. He began his career as part of the group Los Sencillos, with whom he released six albums, including De placer! (1990) and Bultacos y Montesas (1997). Notable songs from this period include "Mala mujer" and "Bonito es". After 16 years with Los Sencillos, Puig embarked on a solo career in 2004. His first solo album was Casualidades, followed by Impar (2008), which featured the single "El Sirviente". He has also collaborated with notable figures such as Alaska and performed at festivals like Sonar and Primavera Sound. Puig's versatility extends to radio, television, film, and fashion, where he has contributed as a collaborator, actor, and composer. In 2018, he became a professor of musical culture for Operación Triunfo, and in 2023, he conducted a masterclass on composition for the show.
