Mikuni Shimokawa, born 下川 みくに on March 19, 1980, in Shinhidaka, Hokkaido, is a Japanese pop singer and songwriter. She launched her music career with the debut single "Believer~旅立ちの歌~" in April 1999, followed by singles like "If ~もしも願いが叶うなら~" and "2000EXPRESS". Her breakthrough came with theme songs for anime series, notably Full Metal Panic! Mikuni Shimokawa's discography includes albums such as 39 (2000), Review 〜下川みくに 青春アニソンカバーアルバム〜 (2003), and Tsubasa ~Very Best of Mikuni Shimokawa~ (2009). Notable singles include "Tomorrow / Karenai Hana" (2002) and "Minami Kaze / Moichido Kimi ni Aitai" (2005), used as anime theme songs. In addition to her vocal talents, Mikuni Shimokawa can play the piano and was a former member of the girl group Checkicco.
