Arthur Frank Bergmann, born on February 8, 1953, in Vancouver, British Columbia, was a Canadian rock singer-songwriter known for his role in the Canadian punk rock scene of the late 1970s. He began his career with the Abbotsford band Mount Lehman Grease Band and later founded The Notorious Smorg Brothers. Bergmann's breakthrough came as the lead singer and songwriter for Young Canadians, known for their classic Canadian punk anthem "Hawaii" (co-written with Ross Carpenter). In the 1980s, he released his debut solo album Crawl With Me in 1988, garnering a Juno Award nomination for Most Promising Male Vocalist. His 1990 album Sexual Roulette, produced by Chris Wardman, featured the rock radio hit "Bound for Vegas" and secured him a deal with Polygram Records. Bergmann was made a Member of the Order of Canada in 2021, recognizing his contributions to Canadian punk music.
