Finn Peters is a flautist and saxophonist. He began his musical journey immersed in various genres, including dance, hip hop, Afro-Cuban, electronica, and contemporary classical music. In 2006, Finn Peters returned to his jazz roots with the release of Su-Ling. This was followed by Butterflies (2008), which incorporated strings, a Balinese gamelan ensemble, kora, synths, birdsong, and sound processing. The Finn Peters Quintet, also known as 'Finntet', won the best jazz group category of the BBC Jazz Awards in 2007. His album Music of the Mind (2010) explored the possibilities of music coupling regular ensemble playing with computer sounds generated by directly tapping brainwaves. Finn Peters has collaborated with notable artists such as Dizzee Rascal and Matthew Herbert.
