Mazlum Çimen, born on June 18, 1958, in Sevdilli village of Elbistan, Kahramanmaraş Province, Turkey, is a Turkish musician, composer, and actor. He studied at the Istanbul State Conservatory, initially focusing on violin before transitioning to ballet dancing. Çimen's first compositions emerged in 1980, and he entered film music with support from poet Onat Kutlar. His breakthrough came with the film score for Mem û Zin (1991) and the TV mini-series Aysarı'nın Zilleri (1992). Throughout his career, Çimen has composed scores for numerous films and TV series, earning multiple awards including three Golden Orange Awards. Notable works include Büyük Adam Küçük Aşk (2002) and Nokta (2008), for which he received the Best Film Score Award at the Montpellier Mediterranean Film Festival.
