Italian singer, DJ and producer Paola Iezzi is also known for the duo Paola & Chiara, which she forms with her sister Chiara Iezzi. Born in Milan on March 30, 1974, she began singing in high school with her sister and hired girl as backing singers for the group 883 in the mid-1990s. They formed a popular duo, winning the Sanremo Festival competition in 1997 with the song "Amici come prima", and recorded a series of eight albums up to 2013. From 2009 onwards, Paola Iezzi broke free and launched her own career with the pop track "Alone", followed by resolutely danceable songs such as "Xcept You" (2012), "Lovenight" (2016) and "Ridi " (2018), which are the subject of several remixes.
