Rosie Ledet, born Mary Roszela Bellard on October 25, 1971, in Church Point, Louisiana, is an American Creole zydeco accordion player and singer. Initially drawn to rock music, she discovered her passion for zydeco at age 16 after seeing Boozoo Chavis perform at Richard's Club in Lawtell, Louisiana. Ledet began learning the accordion by watching her future husband Morris Ledet play. Her first recording session was arranged by producer Mike Lachney, leading to a contract with Floyd Soileau of the Maison de Soul label. In 1994, she released her debut album Sweet Brown Sugar and started touring Louisiana and Texas. She subsequently released the albums Zesty Zydeco (1995), Zydeco Sensation (1997), I'm a Woman (1999), It's a Groove Thing! (2000), Now's the Time (2003), and Come Get Some (2011). Ledet won multiple Best of the Beat Awards, including Best Emerging Zydeco Band or Performer in 1995 and 1996, and Best Zydeco Vocalist in 1995 and 1996. She also released the album Raw! in 2015.
