Patrick Josef Bebelaar, also known as Patrick Bebelaar, born on March 6, 1971, in Germany, is a pianist, composer, and jazz musician. He began his piano lessons with Georg Ruby and Richie Beirach, later studying at the State University of Music and Performing Arts Stuttgart under Paul Schwarz. Bebelaar's career took off with the release of his debut album Raga in 1996, followed by collaborations with notable musicians such as Michel Godard and Herbert Joos. His discography includes albums like Never Thought It Could Happen, Passion, and Point of View. In 2007, he released Pantheon, which drew inspiration from Johann Sebastian Bach's Mass in B minor. Bebelaar has performed extensively across Europe, South Africa, North America, and India. He received the Jazz Award Baden-Württemberg in 2000 and was recognized by the South African Association for Jazz Education in 2005.
