Carlos El Grande is an Afro-Indigenous Panamanian vocalist whose six-decade career began with the rise of Panama’s legendary Combos Nacionales. He went on to flourish during New York’s golden age of Salsa. Co-founding the all-star band La Salsa Mayor, and sharing the stage with such legends as Ray Barretto, Louie Ramirez and Eddie Palmieri. Today, Carlos continues to honor classic salsa tradition while championing Panamanian musical heritage, contributing to new projects including the short film BEMBÉ.
