The Lurking Fear is a death metal band from Sweden, formed in 2016 by Tomas Lindberg and Adrian Erlandsson of At-the-Gates, along with Jonas Stålhammar of The Crown, Fredrik Wallenberg of Skitsystem, and Andreas Axelsson of Edge-of-Sanity. Their debut EP, The Lurking Fear, released in 2017 on Moondawn Records, preceded their first full-length album, Out of the Voiceless Grave, which was released on the same year, through Century Media Records. The band gained significant attention with their performances at their first concerts in Germany, including Party.San, Summer Breeze, and Turock Open Air. Their second album, Death, Madness, Horror, Decay, was released in 2021.
