Vicente Feliú Miranda, born on November 11, 1947, in Havana, Cuba, was a Cuban singer and guitarist. He began playing guitar under his father's tutelage and started composing music intuitively during his secondary education in 1964. In the early 1970s, Feliú became part of the Nueva Trova movement alongside notable figures such as Pablo Milanés and Silvio Rodríguez. His career spanned over two decades, during which he released several albums, including Aurora in 1995, with a reissue in 1997, and Itinerario in 1998. Feliú collaborated with numerous artists across various countries, performing in over 20 nations in America, Europe, and Africa. He also composed music for theater, television, and cultural programs, serving as a director and advisor for radio and television in Cuba. At the time of his death on December 17, 2021, Feliú was directing the cultural center Canto de Todos, which promoted musical exchanges across Ibero-American countries.
