Charlotte Marie-Louise Heijdemann, known professionally as Charlotte Margiono, born in 1955 in Amsterdam, Netherlands, is a Dutch operatic soprano. She studied at the Arnhem conservatoire under Aafje Heynis and initially gained recognition as a Mozart specialist. Margiono expanded her repertoire to include works by Beethoven, Carl Maria von Weber, Verdi, Smetana, Puccini, and Richard Strauss. Her international career sees her perform in opera houses worldwide, with notable roles including Eva in Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg (2000), Elsa in Lohengrin (2002), and Sieglinde in Die Walküre (2004) at the Netherlands Opera. In 2008, Margiono transitioned from opera to focus on Lieder and concert work. She is renowned for her interpretation of Richard Strauss's "Four Last Songs", recorded in 1993 with the Netherlands Radio Philharmonic Orchestra under Edo de Waart.
