Musiqq, a Latvian pop music duo from Liepāja, was formed in 2009 by Marats Ogļezņevs and Emīls Balceris. The group gained initial exposure with the release of their first single "Klimata kontrole" ("Climate control") in 2010, followed by the radio hit "Abrakadabra." Their debut album Šī ir tikai mūzika ("This is just music"), released also on 2010, included popular tracks such as "Dzimšanas diena" ("Birthday"). Musiqq represented Latvia in the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest with the song "Angel In Disguise." Notable achievements include winning the "SEB Musical Bank 2009" award for "Abrakadabra" and receiving the "Gada Liepājnieks" (Liepajnieks of the year) prize in the music category in 2010.
