Jetboy is an American hard rock band from San Francisco founded in 1983 by guitarists Billy Rowe and Fernie Rod. The group moved to Los Angeles in 1986 after signing with Elektra Records. Their debut album, Feel the Shake, was released in 1988 and reached number 135 on the Billboard 200. Several songs from the album, including “Bloodstone”, “Locked in a Cage”, and “Make Some Noise”, were featured in the 1989 film The 'Burbs. In 1987, former Hanoi Rocks member Sami Yaffa joined as bassist, replacing Todd Crew. The band released the album Damned Nation in 1990 before disbanding in 1993. Jetboy resumed activity in 2006 and performed a 25-year anniversary show at the Whisky a Go Go on June 1, 2012. On January 25, 2019, the group released the album Born to Fly through Frontiers Records, followed by Crate Diggin' in 2023.
