The Dancing Did were a British post-punk/folk punk group formed in Evesham, Worcestershire, United Kingdom, in 1979. The band consisted of vocalist Tim Harrison, guitarist Martyn Dormer, drummer Chris Houghton, and bassist Stuart Dyke. Their musical journey began with two independent singles, "The Dancing Did" (1979) and "Squashed Things on the Road" (1980), released on their own Fruit & Veg label. In 1981, they signed with Stiff Records for the single "The Lost Platoon", followed by a switch to Kamera Records in 1982 for singles "Badger Boys" and "The Green Man and the March of the Bungalows". Their debut album And Did Those Feet was released in November 1982, reaching number 25 on the UK Independent Chart. The band disbanded in 1983. In 2007, And Did Those Feet was reissued by Cherry Red with bonus live tracks and B-sides.
