Kreidler, a German band from Düsseldorf, was formed in 1994. The group initially consisted of Thomas Klein, Alexander Paulick, Andreas Reihse, Stefan Schneider, and Detlef Weinrich. In their early years, Kreidler combined electronic and analog instruments, drawing influences from dub, electronica, and the 'Düsseldorf Schools' of the 1970s. Their debut album Riva was released in 1994 on A Contresens label. The band's breakthrough came with their second album Weekend, released in January 2000 by Kiff SM, which earned them the title of Newcomer of the Year in Spex magazine's readers' poll. Following this success, Kreidler toured extensively and released several notable albums including Appearance and the Park (1998), Eve Future (2002), Tank (2011), Den (2012), ABC (2014), and Flood (2019). In the 2020s, Kreidler pursued with Spells and Dubs (2022), Twists (A Visitor Arrives) (2024) and Schemes (2026).
