Agonizer, a Finnish heavy metal band from Pyhäjärvi, formed in 1998 with a six-member lineup. The group initially released their first demo Eternal Night (1998), which garnered positive reviews from Finnish music magazines, and followed it up with Last Sign of Light (1999). After vocalist Olli Solitanner left the band, Pasi Kärkkäinen took over vocal duties, leading to a re-recording of Last Sign of Light. Agonizer's breakthrough came in 2004 with their EP World of Fools, which received widespread acclaim and led to their selection for the Finnish Metal Expo. In April 2007, they signed with Spinefarm Records and released their debut album Birth / The End that August, setting a Guinness World Record for the deepest concert underground at Pyhäsalmi Mine. Agonizer continued their career with notable releases such as "Trooper" (2013) and Visions of the Blind in 2016 under the German label 7hard.
