Tribute To Nothing, a British post-hardcore/alternative rock band from Hereford and Worcester, was formed in 1992 by brothers Samuel, Jim, and Ben Turner. Their early years involved local performances, gaining attention for their second concert which drew several hundred spectators. In 1994, they released their first singles "Can't Get Up" and "24 Hours". A breakthrough came when NME photographer Martyn Goodacre signed them to Go! Discs, leading to notable performances with bands like The Fall and Iggy Pop, and a live session on BBC Radio 1 hosted by John Peel. After releasing several singles including "Office Jobs", the band faced challenges when their label was closed in 1997. They then founded Lockjaw Records, releasing albums such as This Is Freedom? (1999) and 50,000 Watts of Goodwill (2001). In 2005, they signed with Destiny Records for the release of How Many Times Did We Live?, produced by Jason Livermore, which was released the following year.
