Chastity Daniels, known professionally as La Chat, was born on March 21, 1978, in Memphis, Tennessee. Influenced by MC Lyte, she wrote her first rap, "Peace in the Middle East", during her seventh grade year. She made an early discographic appearance on Three 6 Mafia's album Mystic Stylez in 1995. She appeared on Project Pat’s "Chickenhead" in 2001, the same year she released her debut album, Murder She Spoke, which sold 250,000 copies. . In 2004, she released Dramatize and Ultimate Revenge. La Chat won the Best Female Mixtape Artist award at the Southern Entertainment Awards in 2005.
