Midnight is a US speed metal band founded in 2003 in Cleveland, Ohio, by Jamie Walters. After disbanding his previous punk group Boulder, Walters launched Midnight as a solo project, releasing a first demo and several self-produced singles and EPs. In 2011, Midnight released their debut album, Satanic Royalty, under Hells Headbangers Records. The band's unique blend of black metal, speed metal, and punk, mostly referred to as Black 'n' Roll, gained traction with subsequent albums such as No Mercy for Mayhem (2014) and Sweet Death and Ecstasy (2017). In 2019, Midnight signed with Metal Blade Records and released Rebirth by Blasphemy, followed by Let There Be Witchery in 2022. The band's live performances are known for their unfiltered wildness and intensity, with Walters accompanied by various musicians who often conceal their faces with cloths during shows.
