Hey guys! I'm TWOSIDES, a Canadian artists whose songs are inspired by many different styles of music. I was born on the north coast of Quebec so naturally, my first language is French. I then moved to Whitehorse where I learned to speak English. At the age of 10, I moved back again to Montreal where my love for music really started to grow.
For the first couple of years of producing music, my style was Techno and Hardstyle. I was really into those. The melodies and harmonies really shaped my current style of singing too. Later on, in my teenage days, I started listening to a lot of Punk music. I went to see many live shows and concerts, that's when I started to learn how to sing and opened up on a whole new world.
After a couple of years, hip-hop became really popular and I started listening to it almost exclusively. I started making a lot of beats and selling them online. Not many people would buy them so I one day I decided that I should try rapping on them. That's where it all started.
From 2011 to 2013, I recorded over 60 songs that I put online for everyone to listen. Most of them were hip-hop songs. After that, I went through a lot in my life and struggled with a lot of things so even though I kept writing music, I stopped publishing them.
Now, it's been a year and a half since I decided that this is what I love doing and started putting new songs online. I like to say that my new music is very different from what I used to do and really reflects who I am now.
