Freddy Sahin‑Scholl was born on 21 December 1953 in Heilbronn, Germany, and is a German singer known for his work in classical and romantic music. After a career as a nurse, he discovered his dual vocal range at age 40 and began composing, notably setting Markus Lüpertz’s poems to music. His breakthrough came in 1997 with the composition of "Carpe Diem," which he released on his own label in 1999 and later re‑issued by Edel Records in 2003 and Sony Records in 2010. The album was promoted through tours such as The Nokia Night of the Proms and appearances on Das Supertalent, where he won the 2010 season. In 2016 he released For You on Believe SAS.
