Pauline Louisa Benattar, known professionally as Louise Verneuil, and born on December 14, 1988, is a singer-songwriter. Growing up in a family with Mediterranean roots, she developed a passion for music influenced by her parents' love for various genres. Her father's guitar playing and her mother's singing laid the foundation for her musical journey. Verneuil began her career as a singer-songwriter after studying journalism at Nice and moving to Paris. In 2012, she participated in The Voice, joining Louis Bertignac’s team, which marked a significant breakthrough. Her debut album, Lumière noire, released on April 10, 2020, was produced by Samy Osta. The album showcased her diverse influences, including French chanson, English rock, folk music from California, and Spanish music. She adopted Verlo as her new stage name in 2025.
