Kazimir Lux, known professionally as Kaz Lux, was born on January 7, 1948, in Oosterhout, Netherlands. He is a Dutch singer of Polish origin who began his music career by winning a talent contest in 1968. His first recordings were made with studio musicians, including Jan Akkerman and Pierre van der Linden, leading to his debut album Kazimierz Lux c.s. released in 1972 on the Harvest label (EMI). In 1973, he released Iām the Worst Partner I Know, produced by Mike Vernon, which was well received. Collaborating with Jan Akkerman, Kaz Lux recorded the concept album Eli in 1976, considered a significant milestone in his career. Throughout the 1970s and 1980s, Kaz Lux released several albums, including Monk?, Distance, Luxury, A Voice, and Transparental. He also toured with Brainbox in 1982 and recorded live albums such as Dialogue (1982) and Live Dialogues (1991) with John Schuursma. Notable later releases include Osmosis (2007), showcasing his enduring musical presence.
