Haudegen, a German rock group from Berlin, was founded in 2010 by Hagen Stoll and Sven Gillert, who had previously performed as solo rappers Joe Rilla and Tyron Berlin. After relocating from Marzahn, the duo shifted from rap to an emotionally driven rock sound, describing it as a logical continuation of their musical evolution. Their breakthrough came with the single "Großvater Sagt" on 30 November 2010, followed by the self‑titled EP Haudegen on 29 October 2010, both issued through Warner Music and receiving airplay on VIVA and German radio. In 2011 the band released "Ein Mann Ein Wort" and the debut studio album Schlicht & Ergreifend on 27 May 2011, featuring guitarist Alexander Dietz of Heaven Shall Burn. Subsequent releases include the singles "Ich War Nie Bei Dir" (11 May 2012), "Feuer Und Flamme" (3 February 2013), "En Garde" (2 October 2012), and the studio albums Lichtblick (25 September 2015), Haudegen rocken Altberliner Melodien (4 November 2016), and Blut Schweiß und Tränen (21 July 2017). The 2016 album earned Haudegen the 2017 smago! Award for “Das besondere Album.” Their music, characterized by Hagen Stoll’s raw vocal delivery and themes of working‑class solidarity, has maintained a steady presence in the German rock scene.
