Dariush Eghbali, known professionally as Dariush, was born on 2 April, 1951, in Tehran, Iran. His musical talent was recognized at nine when he performed at his school. At 20, Hassan Khayatbashi introduced him to the Iranian public through national television. Dariush gained popularity with his song "Being a Man Nagoo Dooset Daram". His contemporary and unique style opened a new era in Iranian music. Dariush's career spans over 27 albums and more than 208 songs, including notable releases like Nazanin (1992) and Bachehaye Iran (1995). He also acted in two Iranian films. His song "Dastaye A" was named the most supportive song in the history of Iranian music by Manoto television.
