Bastian Jütte, born on November 22, 1973, in Munich, Germany, is a jazz drummer. He studied at the Richard-Strauss-Konservatorium in Munich and later at the Musikhochschule Mannheim under Keith Copeland. Jütte's early career included performances with notable artists such as Maria Schneider. Jütte released his debut solo album Not in This Game in 2007, followed by Inside in 2011. He was engaged by the hr-Bigband in 2006. His notable achievements include winning first prize at the Bayerischer Rundfunk Jazzszene in 1999, the ECHO Jazz award in 2013, and multiple Neue Deutsche Jazzpreis awards in 2010 and 2016. Jütte has also been an educator, teaching jazz drumming at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater München from 2010 to 2021 and later at the Hochschule für Musik Würzburg, where he was appointed as a professor in 2023.
