Malin Reitan, known professionally as Malin, was born on August 8, 1995, in Trondheim, Norway. She began her music career at a young age, winning the Melodi Grand Prix Junior 2005 with "Sommer og skolefri" ("Summer and School Holiday"), which earned her a spot to represent Norway at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2005, where she finished third. Under the guidance of producer Ulf Risnes, Malin released her debut album Malin på månen in May 2006. Her subsequent albums include Pang! (April 2008), Malin (November 2009), and Paradis (April 2011). In 2008, Malin Reitan and her colleague Celine Helgemo filled the Olavshall in Trondheim five times with their Christmas show.
