This Patch of Sky was an instrumental post-rock band from Eugene, Oregon, formed in 2010. The group initially gained traction with their debut EP The Immortal, The Invisible released in September 2011 under German indie label Oxide-Tones. Following the label's closure in 2013, This Patch of Sky independently released the full-length album Heroes and Ghosts (2013), which was later chosen as one of AmpKickerās Top 20 Albums of 2013. The band also released a self-titled album in August 2014 and signed with Graphic Nature Records in September 2017 for their final full-length album, These Small Spaces (2017). Their music was featured in various media including the video game Eric Koston: One Obsession, the 2014 NCAA Men of March video, and several commercials. The band disbanded in September 2019.
