Michael Cashmore

Michael Cashmore is an English composer and musician who relocated to Berlin in 2004. He began performing under the name Nature and Organisation in the early 1980s and was a member of the ensemble Current 93 from the late 1980s until 2006. Cashmore released his debut solo studio recording, Sleep England, in May 2006. In 2007, he released the mini-album The Snow Abides, which featured vocals by Anohni. Cashmore collaborated with musicians including David Tibet, Marc Almond, and Bill Fay. He released the recording “Gabriel and the Lunatic Lover” with Almond in 2008 and the album Feasting With Panthers in 2011. His discography included The Night Has Rushed In (2021) and the musical piece “The Sword Becomes a Shield” (2023). Cashmore authored the book Transformation Through Love in 2023 and released the recordings The Snow Abides Completely (2024) and The Ninth Circle Beyond the Sun (2025).
