Tédio Boys, a Portuguese band, formed in 1989 at Bar Moçambique in Coimbra. The group's name combined the subculture term "Teddy Boys" and the Portuguese word for boredom, "tédio." They gained attention through explosive live performances blending rockabilly with punk. In 1994, Tédio Boys released their debut album Porkabilly Psychosis!!!. Their breakthrough came in 1995 at the Queima das Fitas festival, where they performed mostly naked on stage. This caught the attention of Elevator Music, an American label that signed them and facilitated U.S. tours. Notable collaborations included appearances with Jello Biafra and performances at Joey Ramone's birthday party alongside musicians like Iggy Pop and Joe Strummer. The band disbanded in 2000. Post-breakup, their album Pussy Nest was released in 2008.
