Jeon In-kwon, born In-gwon Jeon on September 4, 1954, in the Republic of Korea, is a prominent singer-songwriter. He commenced his music career as the lead singer of the folk rock band Apart and Together, releasing their debut album Face That Hang in 1979 under Jigu Records. Despite the release, he expressed dissatisfaction with the album, later stating he would have preferred to destroy the master tape. In 1985, Jeon In-kwon formed the influential rock band Deulgukhwa. The group's debut album March was released that year under Seorabeol Records and became immensely popular among young people for its rebellious themes during South Korea's military rule. This album was later ranked Number 1 on a list of the 100 Greatest Music Albums of Korea by music critics in 2007. Deulgukhwa continued to release albums, including You and I (1986) under Donga Music and Us (1995) under Synnara Music, further cementing their status as cultural icons. As a solo artist, he released several albums including 파랑새 (1988) under Seorabeol Records, 지금까지 또 이제부터 (1991) under Seoul Records, 다시 이제부터 (2003) under Won Entertainment, and 전인권과 안 싸우는 사람들 (2004) under Synnara Music. Jeon In-kwon also performed "Imagine" by John Lennon at the 2018 Winter Olympics opening ceremony in Pyeongchang alongside singers Ha Hyun-woo, Lee Eun-mi, and Ahn Ji-young.
