Words of Concrete is a hardcore and beatdown band from Dresden, Germany, formed in 2009. The group was founded by the vocalist Rob and the bassist Marv. In 2010, the ensemble released the split-CD New Kidz on the Block with Delusions of Lunacy through BDHW Records. Their debut studio album, East German Cold, was issued in 2011 via One Life One Crew Records, followed by Between Home and Hell in 2013. The group became inactive in 2014 for personal reasons before resuming activity in 2017. They returned with the music video “Ghettobeat 2.0” and the 2018 album Negative Vibes, released via BDHW Records. Following a second hiatus between 2019 and 2023, the band resumed activity with the guitarist Schofi. Marv, who previously played guitar, subsequently transitioned to bass. The band is independent of any record label.
