Michael Hill (born 1952 in The Bronx, New York) is an American blues guitarist who formed Michael Hill's Blues Mob in the early 1990s. Raised in the Bronx and involved with the Black Rock Coalition, Hill assembled a trio—his brother Kevin on bass and sisters Wynette and Kathy on vocals. The group debuted with Bloodlines (1994), earning the Living Blues Critic’s Award for Debut Blues Album of the Year. Subsequent releases on Alligator Records followed: Have Mercy! (1996) and New York State of Blues (1998). Later albums on Singular and Ruf Records included Suite: Larger Than Life (2001), Electric Storyland Live (2003), and the compilation Black Gold and Goddesses Bold (2005). The band performed at the Chicago Blues Festival and Memphis in May, touring Europe, Brazil, and Australia.
