Marychou (마리슈) is a South Korean folk-rock band formed in 2014 under Sugar Records. The trio consists of Sung Wook Park (vocalist and guitarist), Soo Young Ko (keyboardist and backing vocals), and Gyu Hyeon Kang (bassist and backing vocals). Known for their warm, nostalgic melodies and heartfelt lyrics, Marychou has built a loyal following in the Korean indie music scene. The band debuted with the single "Only You" (2014) and steadily gained recognition with releases such as "Your Name" (2015) and "Love Vacation" (2015). Their EP 우리의 OST (2016) showcased their ability to blend folk and soft rock, creating an intimate, cinematic feel. Over the years, Marychou continued refining their sound with EPs like My Room (2017), 별 보러 와요 (2018), and 그날의 언어들 (2022). With a discography that includes popular singles like "Oh My Darling" (2018), "Dear My Friend" (2019), and "Daisy" (2022), Marychou remains a defining presence in Korea’s indie-folk scene. In 2025, they are set to release their latest EP, Dear. me, continuing their tradition of storytelling through heartfelt melodies.
