Eugenio Colombo, born on December 10, 1953, in Rome, Italy, is an Italian jazz saxophonist and flutist. He emerged as part of the Italian jazz avant-garde in the 1970s, collaborating with notable figures such as Mario Schiano and Giacomo Aula. Colombo's early work includes contributions to albums like Sud by Mario Schiano. In 1990, he co-founded the Italian Instabile Orchestra, contributing compositions like "Ippopotami" on their debut album released in 1991. Throughout the 1990s, Colombo experimented with various musical styles, including jazz and liturgical chants on Giuditta (1995). He also participated in significant projects such as Giorgio Gaslini's Masks and Giorgio Occhipinti's The Kaos Legend. His discography includes albums like Giada (1990), Guida Blu (1999), and Tales of Love and Death (2000).
